‘I Considered Stealing In Churches As A Gentleman’s Way’ – Robbery Suspect

A 32-year-old bugler who allegedly has preference for churches around Oko-Oba area of Lagos has been arrested by anti-robbery policemen attached to Oko-Oba division.
The suspect identified as Sannu Umaru was reportedly caught in the act inside one of the Pentecostal churches in Oko-Oba at the weekend.
Umaru who claimed to be the son of a retired army personnel, told policemen during interrogation that he preferred stealing from churches because of the security lapses.
Preliminary investigation revealed that Umaru was allegedly involved in some robbery incidents in churches around the area. Before his arrest, he allegedly bugled a church where he made away with some musical instruments.
Police sources say, “on that fateful night, he scaled the fence of the church and went to where the musical instruments were. As he was about carrying the piano valued close to half a million naira, one of the instruments fell down and attracted the night guards who went for him.
“He jumped through the fence with one of the instruments he stole. But he was apprehended by residents of the area who were alerted by the the guards and was brought to the station. He was found to have also burgled another church within the week.”
Umaru who confessed in a statement blamed his indulgence on frustration, saying: “I was tempted to steal because of the death of my father. After his death, I went into scavenging but did not succeed. I chose to bugle churches because it is easier than any other place.
“Aside this, I do not need to be armed. I was scared of carrying arms and did not want to spill blood. That is why I considered stealing in churches as a gentleman’s way.
“What I do is, anytime I go there, I would search the offering boxes. At times I would find money inside, while at other times I would not.
“At Saint Barnabas Church, I did not find any money inside the offering box. So, I decided to steal their music instrument.”
Umaru has been charged to court, according to police sources

Two teenage sisters and their mother were murdered in a so-called “honour” killing in Pakistan after a video emerged of them dancing in the rain.
According to reports the two girls, aged just 15 and 16, were shot dead last Sunday alongside their mother after the girls’ step-brother and accomplices carried out the attack to “restore the family’s honour”.
The alleged killer, named as Khutore, reportedly carried out the attack after local men had seen the grainy video footage of the girls, named as Noor Basra and Noor Sheza, dancing during a downpour outside their home in Chilas, in the northern region of Gilgit.
According to the Sunday Times the initial police investigation has suggested the attack was carried out against the girls by their step-brother, who is now believed to be on the run.
He is thought to have escaped when contacted by police running the investigation. His alleged accomplices have since been arrested.
Local media reports claim the video, which is thought to have been shot six months ago, was circulated in the area after a relative sent it to friends.
According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan at least 943 women and girls were murdered in 2011 in “honour” killings. Around 1,000 such killings take place every year, according to women’s rights group the Aurat Foundation.

Crazy Contest: Competitors Take The Stage And Perform S*X Acts In Front Of Crowd (PHOTOS)

Crazy Contest: Competitors Take The Stage And Perform S*X Acts In Front Of Crowd (PHOTOS)

The scorching heat wasn’t the only thing making New Yorkers sweat this weekend.

At the 4th annual Air s*x Championships, held at Manhattan’s Cutting Room, the finest dry humpers and imaginary oral s*x aficionados took center stage.
There was not a dry seat in the house.
Hosted by comedian Chris Trew, the competition brought together a myriad of performers and the rules were simple: There must always be an imaginary partner on stage and all orgasms must be simulated.
What started out as a one-time parody of an Air Guitar competition in Austin, Texas, four years ago has grown into a 14-city tour that culminates in a final world competition in December.
Men and women separately took the stage to perform their best solo s*x acts for a crowded house of drooling onlookers, while a trio of female judges critiqued the show based on comedic appeal, s*xual performance range and s*xual energy.
Though this year had a noticeably smaller turn out, Trew says it brought some of the best performances he’s ever seen.

The winner was returning champ, Jam Out With My Clam Out, who donned a geisha-inspired floor length robe, granny glasses, a head full of hair curlers and strap on rubber br**sts for a finishing touch.
For her performance, Jam Out acted out a scene in which her (imaginary) husband died and she used her s*xual prowess to try and revive him through his man-hood sans her teeth.
“I was not surprised Jam Out With My Clam Out won again, she knows how to win and she really wants to win. She’s easily one of the ten best [air sexers] in the country. She made a very big step tonight, she showed range,” host Chris Trew told the Huffington Post just after the show.
“She’s just very good, she had the crowd with her the entire time, she did something I’ve never seen before. When she took her teeth out, then her husband who died and she kept jerking him off, it was so good.”
The keys to the competition’s s*x-cess are its accessibility and comedic appeal, Trew says.
“I love that it feels like a sport and it’s still a comedy show. People see the show and think it’s a dirty show and that it’s taboo. But no, this is so accessible. Anyone can do it. It’s so crazy and it’s very addicting.”

General Overseer Of Nigerian Gay Church, Ordained Deacon, Say Ordination A Source Of Hope For S*Xual Minorities

General Overseer Of Nigerian Gay Church, Ordained Deacon, Say Ordination A Source Of Hope For S*Xual Minorities

jide_macaulay
Five years after he was forced to leave Nigeria for the United Kingdom following threats to his life, Nigeria’s first openly gay preacher and the founder of House of Rainbow Fellowship, a Christian community for s*xual minorities and marginalised people, Reverend Jide Macaulay, has been ordained a Deacon of the Anglican Church on Sunday in Chelmsford, United Kingdom.
The Bishop of Chelmsford, the Right Reverend Stephen Cotterel, will hold the ordination service at the Chelmsford Cathedral.
Reverend Macaulay will serve as the Curate in the East Ham Parish, London. He is believed to have inspired many ethnic minority people in the Newham area of London when in 2000 he played Jesus in 2000 Newham Millennium Passion Play.
In an exclusive interview with PREMIUM TIMES, Reverend Macaulay says his ordination is a source of hope for s*xual minorities. He also spoke about his experience in Nigeria, the future of House of Rainbow fellowship and the recently passed anti-gay bill by the National Assembly.
PT: Congratulations on your ordination into the Anglican Communion. What does this mean for our readers, especially s*xual minorities in Africa?
Rev: Thanks for the well wishes. My ordination into the Anglican Communion is an important continuation of my call to parish ministry, to reach out to all people regardless of who they are. I believe whilst my ordination is not anything new to the church, for me it is both relevant on the state of persecution and righteous living for s*xual minorities. My message to all people especially Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgender people of faith and none is to hold on to their dreams and hopes in the face of hardship, God is a good God and loves all people.
PT: Tell us about the role you played in the Newham Millennium Passion Play “A light in the Darkness” and how it has helped to change your life?
Rev: I played the character of “Jesus” in the passion play, which was staged outdoor throughout the London Borough of Newham in 2000, this alone did not change my life but nonetheless was a single contribution to enhancing my relationship with the Anglican Church and more so with my Christian faith.
The audition and rehearsal started late 1999 to early 2000. Reverend Father Steven Saxby, a Curate at St Bartholomew at the time, immediately became my mentor and friend, who also played a crucial part as my spiritual leader and advisor.
Playing Jesus gave me the opportunity to experience the hardship he went through and to understand the love that he has for the world. Jesus even at his death said “Father forgive them”. Often I feel that playing Jesus in such a public way allowed me to connect with my own pains and those inflicted on me and at the same time be able to acknowledge the spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation.
Now that you are fully ordained Deacon in the Anglican Church, what happens to the House Of Rainbow Fellowship?
My ordination with the Anglican Communion does not extinguish the passion for inclusive theology and ministry for the marginalized. As an Anglican minister, my duties are carried forward to continue to reach out to people on the margins and that also means an understanding of the aims and objectives of House Of Rainbow and how the universal church may benefit from the extra ordinary work in hostile regions with marginalised people.
I am encouraged by those who supported my ministry and efforts towards ordination and have urged me to remain true to the call of God and particularly with a passion to ensure that there is room at the communion table for s*xual minorities. House Of Rainbow continues to develop independently as a support group with 10 active groups in six countries, managed by 15 Volunteer Local Leaders.
What happened to House Of Rainbow in 2008 and what were the core reasons for leaving Nigeria?
2008 was a very busy year for House Of Rainbow and the ministry was at the height of its popularity as we have become a household name in Nigeria, particularly well known for its inclusive welcome of marginalised communities. We stood for change, peace and reconciliation, however, violence was thrust upon us as a community and many people, organisations and the media were simply looking for “dirt” about us. In February, I was ambushed by the media in Abuja at the Africa se*uality Conference.
In March/April the newspapers were filled with sensational headlines, by July we have had many more “undercover reporters” joined us and started to record and take photographs. By August/September, we received unprecedented hostile media coverage, increased violence and numerous death threats.
Those who attacked us used this for their own gains. After the second year anniversary celebration of House Of Rainbow in Lagos, I went to Abuja for several meetings and when I returned to Lagos, the environment became extremely hostile and the Board of House Of Rainbow decided it was time we re-strategise.
I was advised to return to London for my own safety and we moved the ministry underground to make it safer for those who attend. House Of Rainbow since 2006 has always remained an active ministry in Nigeria with three active groups.
What does your family, especially your father think of your s*xual orientation and would he be attending your ordination in the Anglican Church in England?
My family like any family first struggled with the knowledge of me being gay, of course it is not about me that they first worry but the prejudice and potential discrimination that both myself and my family had to endure after coming out as gay. The fear of me being gay was superseded by the unconditional love of my parents that held the family in one love.
Unfortunately being in public life and religious ministry has not helped in dealing with this privately. I personally would not have it any other way; I am proud to be gay and of Nigerian descent, with the love of my parents I continue to excel as a son who just happens to be homosexual. For most of my family members I am mostly loved and supported, they are not ashamed of me.
My achievements and ordination would be celebrated with my entire family and especially with my dad by my side.
What do you think of the Nigerian anti-same s*x marriage bill recently passed in the parliament?
I think that the anti same s*x marriage bill in Nigeria has gone too far, many Nigerians are concerned; especially to Human Right defenders and gay activists it makes no sense.
Nigeria should look at progressive constitutions around the world that are inclusive of s*xual minorities. Homosexuality was never a foreign import and there is nothing to be afraid of, only if they can focus on getting to know the gay people and seeking our opinions.
I believe that the Nigerian legislators should focus on laws against discrimination and not laws that punish private s*xual relationship between two consenting adults. Unfortunately, the Nigeria systems allows for many institutions to lawfully discriminate against s*xual minorities and sadly this bill will and more likely punish innocent people, such as innocent parents and other family members, s*xual health providers and proprietors of single gendered institutions.
Nigerians should seek to get to know gays and lesbians amongst us; no one wakes up in the morning and chooses to be gay or lesbian knowing the hatred that will follow.
It is a shame in my opinion with all the education and educated people in Nigeria, the last bastion the government can produce is an anti same s*x marriage bill. I am not convinced this bill is the way forward. God bless Nigeria.

Ondo Jail break: Poilce recapture 54 inmates

POLICE authorities in Ondo state Monday said that 54 of the 175 prisoners that escaped in a jail break on Sunday have been re arrested and returned to the prison custody.
POLICE authorities in Ondo state Monday said that 54 of the 175 prisoners that escaped in a jail break on Sunday have been re arrested and returned to the prison custody.
This is coming as it described the newspaper report of deaths in the jail break as sensational journalism which is unethical.
A statement by the Image maker of the Command Wole Ogodo in Akure said that the fleeing prisoners were picked up in neighbouring villages and towns.
The heavily-armed gunmen attacked the prison in Akure, capital of southwest Ondo state, early on Sunday and freed the prisoners, he said.
None of the assailants have been arrested and investigations are underway to unravel all the circumstances surrounding the jailbreak.
Local Channels television showed footage of the hole in the prison wall through which the prisoners escaped as well as some bullets found on the floor after the attack.
Officials and local human rights activists say that more than 35,000 of Nigeria’s about 50,000 prisoners are awaiting trial and they are kept in harsh conditions, including poor feeding.
The prison cells across the country are overcrowded while security around the jailhouses is inadequate.

Man says he has been to heaven four times>>>Draws Map

Man Says He’s Been To Heaven Four Times, Draws Map
Of course, the South African from KwaZulu-Natal tells it in all seriousness. And who knows, he may even be telling the truth about having visited heaven four times, so far. The first time was in 1998, and subsequent visits were made in 2004, 2006 and 2008.
It all started in 1993, when a white man (an angel, apparently) paid him a visit and told him he was needed in heaven. And now, after several visits, he’s drawing a map to make sure the rest of us ‘unlucky’ ones get what he’s talking about.
But it’s not the fact that he took a few vacations to heaven or even that he’s drawing a map that amuses me. It’s more to do with the stuff he says he’s seen and done there. According to Mthembu, there are 11 heavens in all, and he was taken to the fifth one, Crista, first. It was there, in a city called Sharmoy, that he claims to have met Jesus.
The main heaven is Salem, he says, where God’s temple is located. God is apparently in his youth, and of a Grayish complexion. Jesus is white. He saw God for the first time during his second trip, on a planet called Jadalem that’s mostly covered in water and ice.
Mthembu’s other sightings include Moses, Eliya, and Abel. He also explored the Marshnode City, which is the place people go to when they die, to get reincarnated. But here’s the weirdest of all his tales – he says that the people who predicted the end of the world in May last year weren’t entirely incorrect. Mthembu seems to have eavesdropped on an important meeting in the heavens, where the biggest war against Satanism was being discussed. The war is supposed to have been launched on May 23rd, so we’re basically on a countdown to the absolute end.
The map isn’t ready yet, but Mthembu is already worried about counterfeit versions. “People must come and see the map as one day someone from Japan or China or Britain will design a map of heaven and the people of South Africa will have forgotten that the map was originally made in South Africa,” he says.
Perhaps he needs to patent his creation. And while he’s at it, write a fantasy novel and strike a movie deal too? - See more at: http://www.brimtime.com/2013/06/this-man-says-hes-been-to-heaven-four.html#sthash.znBXFMO8.dpuf
